Adult Sports Programs

ADULT SPORTS

The City of Ellensburg Parks and Recreation Department coordinates a wide range of adult sports, which provide participants with an opportunity to learn new skills, engage in physical activity, and form new friendships.

Ellensburg Adult Sports Include:
• Adult Open Volleyball Leagues - Fall
• Adult Open 3-on-3 Basketball League - Winter
• Adult Open Volleyball Leagues - Spring

Player Interest List
Individuals without a team may signup on the "Free Agent List" and may be placed on a team, there is no fee to signup for the Free Agent List. All Adult Sports League participants must be at least 16 years old. Player’s under 18 must have a parent consent form on file prior to playing.

Registration
•Registration Location: Stan Bassett Youth Center - noon to 6:00 pm daily
•Register Online: Online Registration - 24 hours per day

The Adult Sports League information, below, is organized by school year, e.g. starting with sports programming offered in September, moving through Fall, Winter, Spring, to Summer.

Open Gym Basketball and Pickleball

Free Open Gyms

The Ellensburg Parks and Recreation department in partnership with the Ellensburg School District will offer a variety of FREE Open Gyms. 

All participants are required to sign a waiver to participate. Youth under 18 will need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian upon entrance.

The Open Gym page includes a Google Calendar listing each Open Gym date, be sure to reference the calendar, as days and times of Open Gyms are subject to change.  

Volleyball Server

Adult Open Volleyball - Fall

FALL Adult Open Volleyball is here! It is time for the adults to setup into the volleyball court for fun filled evenings of spikes, digs, and laughs in a fun, yet competitive league. There is no limit to the number of female or male players on the court at one time. Teams may play with any combination of female or male players; there is no minimum for either gender. The Open League format will make it much easier for teams to be formed, and more importantly, to get more people on the court having fun!

Divisions:
• New for this season, Recreation and Competitive Divisions!

Game Days:
• Recreation Division: Monday and Wednesday evening, additional game days as needed
• Competitive Division: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, additional game days as needed

Basketball Player Dribbling

Adult Open 3-on-3 Basketball League - Winter 

Adult Open 3-on-3 Basketball League is an officiated half-court version of full-court basketball. The league is open to all women and men, age 16 and older.

Game Days:
• Tuesday and Thursday evenings, additional game days as needed

• Registration Dates: November 10, 2025 to January 9, 2026
